All Directory Listings

These Directory Standards explain how listings appear on the Veterans Desk directory and what our listing indicators mean. Veterans Desk is an independent Florida nonprofit recognized as an IRS 501(c)(3) public charity — not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or any government agency.
1

Purpose of the Directory

The Veterans Desk directory is a public-facing educational resource intended to help users locate community resources and professional profiles relevant to VA Community Care navigation and access.

What the Directory Is Not

The directory is not a credentialing body, not an insurer, not a network administrator, and not a guarantor of any participation status, authorizations, reimbursement, claim payment, or outcomes. Listing does not confer any of these things.
2

Platform-Only Status and No Endorsement

✓ What Veterans Desk Does

Provides a directory platform and publishes listing standards. Verifies listing eligibility criteria at the time of review based on information available to Veterans Desk.

✕ What Veterans Desk Does Not Do

Does not provide clinical care, make VA eligibility decisions, approve authorizations, determine payment, employ listed professionals, or supervise listed parties in any way.

A listing, badge, indicator, or “verification” marker is not an endorsement or recommendation, is not a guarantee of competence, quality, network participation, reimbursement, or outcomes, and does not mean Veterans Desk supervises, employs, or controls the listed party.

3

What "Verification" Means on Veterans Desk

The Precise Meaning of "Verified" and Related Indicators

If we use terms like “Verified,” “Eligibility Met,” “Background Screening Completed,” or “Education Completed,” those terms mean only one thing: listing eligibility criteria were met at the time of review, based on the information available to Veterans Desk.

Verification does not mean the person will be accepted into any VA-related network, that a provider is currently in-network, that a coordinator guarantees approvals or timelines, or that Veterans Desk has audited clinical outcomes or business practices.

We may also display “Self-Reported” information — clearly labeled — that we have not independently verified.

4

Listing Categories

The Veterans Desk directory may include the following categories of listings. Standards can apply differently by category.

Providers & Clinics

Licensed physicians, surgeons, clinicians, and specialty care practices serving veterans through CCN, TRICARE, or CHAMPVA.

Enrollment Coordinators

Independent professionals offering administrative support services related to provider readiness or enrollment processes.

Organizations & Resources

Veteran-serving organizations, community partners, and nonprofit resources relevant to VA Community Care navigation.

Educational Materials

Program pages, educational content, and informational resources published by or in partnership with Veterans Desk.

5

Baseline Listing Requirements — All Listings

To be published and remain published on the Veterans Desk directory, all listings must generally:

1
Provide accurate, non-misleading information about the listed party, its services, and its status
2
Use business or professional contact details (where applicable)
3
Agree to Veterans Desk’s Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and No-PHI rules
4
Not post prohibited content — including fraudulent, harassing, discriminatory, illegal, or deceptive information
5
Not imply affiliation with the VA or Veterans Desk beyond what is factually accurate
Veterans Desk may require additional documentation depending on the listing category and the indicators or badges sought.
6

Provider Listing Requirements

Depending on the directory section, a Provider listing may require the following:

Important — No Network Guarantee

Veterans Desk does not guarantee that any listed Provider is currently in the VA Community Care Network, is accepting VA Community Care patients, or will be reimbursed for any services. Veterans and referring parties must independently verify participation status with the VA and applicable network administrators.
7

Enrollment Coordinator Standards — Independent Professionals

Relationship Boundary — Non-Negotiable

Enrollment Coordinators listed on Veterans Desk are independent professionals and platform members — not employees of Veterans Desk. Providers engage coordinators directly under a separate agreement between those parties. Veterans Desk does not assign coordinators, set fees, supervise services, control methods, or guarantee outcomes. Coordinators have no authority to bind Veterans Desk.

A) Eligibility Criteria for Listing

Depending on the directory section, a Provider listing may require the following:

B) Prohibited Coordinator Claims

Enrollment Coordinators may not state or imply any of the following in listings, communications, or marketing:

Violations of these prohibited claims standards may result in immediate listing suspension or removal without prior notice.

8

Accuracy, Updates, and Monitoring

Listings may become outdated. We encourage all listed parties to update their profiles promptly when information changes, including license status, contact information, service area, or participation status.

Unless explicitly stated, Veterans Desk does not provide continuous monitoring of license status changes, sanctions, or network participation status. We may perform periodic spot checks or require periodic re-attestation as part of directory maintenance.

9

Reviews, Ratings, and Testimonials

If the Site displays reviews or testimonials, Veterans Desk may moderate them for profanity, privacy violations, hate speech, harassment, deception, and policy violations. Reviews reflect user experiences and may not be representative. Reviews and ratings do not change the platform-only and no-endorsement nature of the directory — a positive review is not a Veterans Desk recommendation.

10

Advertising, Claims, and No-Guarantee Rules

All listings and any associated advertising or content must comply with the following standards:

11

Listing Suspension, Removal, and Appeals

Veterans Desk may suspend, remove, refuse, or decline any listing at any time for any reason aligned with protecting Users, the directory’s accuracy, safety, or our nonprofit mission — including but not limited to violations of these Standards, inaccurate information, prohibited claims, or license lapses.

Where feasible, we will notify the listed party of a suspension or removal and the reason. If you believe a listing was removed in error, you may contact Veterans Desk at members@veteransdesk.org to request review. Veterans Desk’s determination is final.

12

Changes to These Standards

We may update these Directory Standards from time to time. Updated Standards will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued listing on the directory after the updated Standards are posted constitutes acceptance of the changes.
